SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The old ways of doing fashion have a negative reputation. Fashion continues to be haunted by the legacy of sweatshop labor and crowded landfills overflowing with disposable clothing.  Pikku Takki seeks to shine a spotlight on ethical fashion, and give awareness to the conditions behind the clothing we wear for future generations to come. Fashion has always had the power to have an impact, and what we wear matters.

Social responsibility is a cornerstone of our business philosophy. We firmly believe that society and the environment are the greatest stakeholders in any enterprise. Pikku Takki does not own factories; instead we carefully choose and partner with socially responsible producers that care for their workers and their community, ensuring safe and healthy working environments and living wages. For each Run, we seek out small-scale, local suppliers who promote and support traditional artisans and craft production, and who value their workers’ contribution with fair wages and mutual respect.
